In this special year, it was important for the Normandy Victory Museum and its team to be involved in the DDAY commemorations in every way possible. It was unthinkable for us not to pay tribute to our liberators and allow the local population to celebrate and remember. After initiating the Freedom Bells that will ring out to the United States, we could not but join this initiative of the Carentan City Hall.

The Normandy Victory Museum is a historical museum that deals with the events of the Second World War and more specifically with the Battle of the Hedges that raged on our territory just after the landings. The commemorations of the 75th anniversary were beautiful and moving and we remember them in this retrospective DDay article. Let us celebrate the 76th with dignity and look forward to meeting all of us again in 2021.
