The World War II International Film Festival was born out of a reflection on the intrinsic link between the history of the last world war and cinema. Through its popularity, affordability and varied themes, cinema or, on a larger scale, the film industry are important vectors for the transmission of memory.

Since its creation in 2017, the Festival has awarded prizes to documentaries, short films and films of various nationalities. The teams, conscious of their role as passers of memory, place their work under the sign of sharing and recognition of the work accomplished for the duty of memory, but above all remain resolutely turned towards the future so that these major events of the 20th century are never forgotten.
