The cancellation of all official or festive commemorations of the Landing Beaches and the Battle of Normandy throughout the historic sector of the beaches will not prevent Carentan from remembering. A certain number of events were created, intended to remind people, in compliance with health precautions, of the importance of the events of 1944. An initiative of Nicholas Bellée and Patrick Fissot, managers of the Victory Museum in Catz in the Manche, Emmanuel Allain for the D-Day Experience in Saint Côme du Mont, Jean-Marie and Sylvie Caillard for Camp Arizona 2020, Gérard Mary for the DDay-Overlord association, Tim Gray for the World War II Foundation and Nathalie Mary for the Normandy-World War II International Film Festival. This initiative will also be relayed in the United States.
